A very important 17th century stone figure of ‘Plenty’ by Caius Cibber
Losses to the statue, required that a new lower arm and hand be carved to left hand side and wrist section to the right, together with general cleaning.
Cleaning & restoration of stonework at Sermon Almshouses, Isleworth
The six almshouses situated in Isleworth, Middlesex were built and endowed in 1843 by Mrs Sarah Sermon, to provide charitable housing for the elderly.
As part of the conservation of the original buildings, Anthemion’s masons were commissioned to undertake the restoration of the stonework. Requiring the replacement of sections of the stone to the window & door surrounds, as well as to the chimney stacks and coining to the corners of the buildings.
